The Shadow Phantom is Honda's blacked-out, bobber-flavoured take on the fuel-injected VT750 cruiser, launched for 2010 and carried into 2012-13 essentially unchanged. It pairs the liquid-cooled 745 cc V-twin with shaft drive, a very low seat and fat 17/15-inch tyres, which makes it an easy, unintimidating first cruiser. Performance is modest and the engine is happiest at moderate highway speeds, but the low centre of gravity and fuel injection make it a relaxed everyday machine.
